Our Story
About T-Station
Welcome, travelers. π
Who we are
T-Station is an established Boston-based theme camp. Our name and spirit come from the MBTA β Boston's βT.β Every neighborhood has a stop. We wanted to be that for the burn: a central metro stop where art cars drop off wanderers, music spills out, offerings are shared, and burners gather before their next destination.
Together, our goal is to create a hub of movement, music, and warmth β where travelers come and go, but always feel at home. A gathering place. A home base. A spot for the βlost toysβ of the world to find belonging, warmth, and a sense of shared journey.
βA reliable anchor. Somewhere you can always find your way back to.β
We're a tight crew β mostly from Boston and New England, with collaborators and friends from across the country. Engineers and artists, nurses and teachers, DJs and tea nerds. A community of doers and dreamers where every member contributes to making T-Station run, and run beautifully.
Camp members are expected to contribute β to setup, to service shifts, to teardown β not because it's an obligation, but because that shared effort is what makes it ours. Guests who stop by are always welcome, and always free to just be present. That's the spirit of radical inclusion: everyone who arrives belongs here.
Tea & Hookah Lounge
At the heart of our space is a warm, communal lounge where tea hosts welcome guests with blends from around the world β each carrying its own tradition of connection and care. It's a place where strangers sit down for a cup and end up leaving as friends.
Hookah service adds another layer of shared ritual, creating a comfortable, open environment for conversation, storytelling, and rest. Nicotine and nicotine-free options, always clearly labeled, always served with care.
Basement Project
Our sound is curated in partnership with Basement Projectβ a Boston house and deep house collective that's been building underground culture in the city for years. At T-Station, their DJs play all day. Not as a feature. As the vibe.
The music is the heartbeat of the lounge β always present, never overwhelming. Through the pulse of music, the rituals of tea, and the spark of human interaction, we hope to embody the principles of radical inclusion, participation, and communal effort.
Offerings & workshops
Our camp is built around interactive offerings that awaken the senses and bring people together β through taste, sound, art, scent, and meaningful conversation. An offering at the burn is something you share with the community as a gift. You don't have to be an expert. Providing a workshop is about showing up, participating, and creating an experience together.
Offerings can be playful, educational, creative, reflective, or just plain fun. Yoga classes. Teaching the history of hookah. Crafting workshops. Storytelling circles. Literally anything you want to share. They're a fabulous way to meet people, contribute to camp life, and build a strong sense of gifting and radical inclusion.
New to burning? You can absolutely run an offering or workshop. We'll help make it happen.
Sounds like your kind of stop?
Applications open before each burn. Space is limited β we cap at 30β40 members to keep it tight enough to actually know everyone.
